The Ice Factor opens to the public on Saturday 14th November 2009 and runs until Sunday 3rd January 2010. Opening times and ticket prices can be found below.

Opening Times

The rink will be open from 10:00am through to 9:30pm daily with each skating session lasting one hour. However, you will also need to allow an extra ten minutes to arrange skate hire. Please check when booking your tickets that the desired time you choose is available.

The exceptions to the opening hours are Christmas Day when the rink will be closed all day.

What if it is raining?

You get wet! The rink can operate in nearly all weather conditions. Please bring suitable outdoor clothing. This is an outdoor event and no refunds will be given due to inclement weather. In the unlikely event that the Event Manager deems it necessary to close the ice rink, alternative sessions will be offered for skating, subject to availability.

BOOKING IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. With space limited on each session, The Ice Factor strongly recommends you book in advance to avoid disappointment.  Weekends and school holidays are particuarly busy, so don't risk it, book it!

Our one-hour sessions are booked as follows:

Skate Hire

Skate hire is included in the price of the ticket and our sizes range from child size 9 through to adult size 15. It is advisable to arrive 10 minutes prior to your booking time, so we can fit you with your skates to give you a full hour on the ice.

Penguin Hire

To help your toddler get confident on the ice, we have special ice shoes as well as our stabiliser Bobo the Penguin, who is joined by more of his friends this year.  You can hire Bobo or his friends for £2.00 per session.  Tickets available at the ticket office. Subject to availability.

If your child can walk, we can get them skating!

Helmets

For extra protection, The Ice Factor can provide helmets for hire at £1 each. Please collect these in the skate hire area.
